actually krum is a pretty regular character of mine , i suppose there arent all that many drawings or paintings existing that i have of him , but hes fairly regular in terms of my tag work . as a graffiti artist i primarily use goldfish, angler fish , cyclops pikachus , krum , and a fuck ton of various robots . and they end up all over detroit , but as its winter now i dont hit the streets nearly as much , but heck if youd like to see more of him up here i most definatly will be happy to oblige.
eh ive had a couple comissions but it was more so for businesses that wanted simple signs painted on the side of their buildin g . nothing i would want to do because of the whole no creative input part , but for the most part pretty much its recreational . i always have supplies with me , and to save on gas i can just walk sumwhere and take the bus , park , the car and walk . and there is so much to go do and see in detroit , sugh as the old industrial district most of which is adandoned , theres alot of abandonded building in detroit its sad to say , but when i go out i dont really consider it doing anything wrong , the stuff i do is genrally very cartoony , big bold bright and colorful , alot of pastels and black . and in areas where the places are so run down and decrepit that i considerit taking sumthing that i might find to be beautiful and and what most would consider an eyesore and putting up something that makes the building look better .
Ahh, I guess that would be a pretty big turn-off to not have much creative input, I forgot about that... I've never been to Detroit, let alone the abandoned industrial parks you described, but I'd love to see it all. Good street art is always welcome in my books. In Montreal there's tons of it (probably not as much as in Detroit) but hey, it's something.
But there's a lot of old, slummy kind of areas in downtown Montreal, so like you said the graffiti art sort of livens up the area and makes it a prettier place to be. Ottawa on the other hand... ugh. They just don't seem to appreciate industrial art nearly as much as a lot of Quebecers do. Everything is so dull and gray, hardly any street art, and even the architecture seems boring, lol. Maybe I'll get into the street art thing myself, like at first it might seem a little out of place 'cause I mean, it's Ottawa, but maybe it'll catch on as time goes by
Are you gonna do anymore work on Krum?
An yeah, Krum is amazing to look at, great design (and I just love his eyes and smile, so cute haha)
You're totally welcome!
